Imran Dean, Community Engagement Officer said: “The fire service represents the communities within which we work and it is important to us to represent the diversity of those communities within our workforce.” This is an informal day for people who may be considering joining the fire service to learn more and ask any questions they may have. The day is an opportunity for people to come along and meet firefighters, be given an introduction to the service and have a go at using some of the equipment used by firefighters on emergency calls. Warwickshire Fire and Rescue (WFRS) is supporting LGBT History month and raising the Pride flag at Leamington Spa HQ to help raise awareness and show support for all LGBTQ members within our service and communities.Īs part of WFRS’s dedication to support LGBTQ communities, a fire service taster day dedicated to the LGBT community is being held at Kenilworth Fire Station, School Lane, Kenilworth, CV8 2GU on Sunday 3 February from 9.30am to 3.00pm and has been organised with support from Warwickshire Pride.
